    Content management systems have been the main focus of Mark’s professional career since 2001. He began working with WordPress when it was released in 2003.

    Mark keeps pace with the system’s development as a theme and plugin developertranslation editor, and WordCamp speaker and co-organizer. His open-source plugins are currently being used on over 20,000 websites.

    Mark is currently developing websites, React-based web apps, headless WordPress API and CRM integrations at Swiss WordPress agency Say Hello.

    Patricia co-organises the WordPress meetups in Geneva since 2013. She has been part of the WordCamps organisation teams in swiss WordCamps since 2016. She has also been a speaker or a volunteer in several WordCamps around Europe.

    Patricia loves projects focusing on community and human relations, and likes everything open-source which allows everyone to have their voices heard, She has these values in common with WordPress and its code of conduct.

    After studying music, Michelle became a journalist in a Geneva daily newspaper. The combination of writing and music gave her the idea to launch Musitext, a writing and translation agency specialising in the field of culture. Since 2014, she has participated in the Swiss WordCamps and was co-organizer of the WordCamp Genève 2022. She also organizes meetings in her culture lounge, where she regularly invites young artists to give public concerts.

    Nick is very enthusiastic about open source Web2 and Web3 technologies. He’s been organizing meetups such as the Zürich WooCommerce meetup for many years and recently became co-organizer of the Zürich WordPress meetup. He also was the lead organizer of WordCamp Zürich 2019.

    Nick is the founder of Openstream, a Web2 and Web3 agency based in Zürich where he regularly blogs about his favorite web technologies, both for users and developers.

    Entrepreneur, SEO and WordPress expert, passionate about writing and speaking. Co-founder and CEO of Ethos Digital, a WordPress agency located in Fribourg, Switzerland.

    After an academic journey crossing various disciplines, in 2011, sitting in a university library in New York, I realized that the web was 90% text, that SEO had a huge potential for online visibility and that (almost) nobody seemed to realize it in Switzerland (at that time).

    In 2013, back from the US, I founded Présence internet in Fribourg, as a freelancer, focusing on WordPress website creation and SEO consulting.

    In 2018, I co-founded Ethos Digital (ethos-digital.ch), building a network of WordPress developers in order to take on more ambitious projects and also developing other services related to the digital transformation of the working world.

    Maxime is passionate about WordPress: co-organised WordCamp Geneva, WordCamp Lyon and meetups in Geneva, is a WordPress contributor and a speaker to WordCamps and meetups, published free plugins and shares his open-source findings.

    He is leading the WordPress pole at WIDE Switzerland, where he deals with both technical and organisational issues to satisfy the needs of the company’s key accounts.

    Silvan has been using WordPress since 2006 and is an active member in the Swiss & European WordPress community. He is a co-organizer and speaker for previous WordCamps in Switzerland and was one of the organizers for the WordPress Zurich meetup group for almost 10 years.

    He co-founded and ran a remote WordPress and UX agency and has since returned to web development work and consulting in the digital space.

    He was co-lead organizer of WordCamp Bern 2017 and WordCamp Zürich 2019 and is co-organizer of WordPress Meetup in Bern since 2015.

    Matthias is an IT professional who turned his passion for WordPress, Hosting and Cloud Computing into his profession many years ago.

    Matthias first came into contact with WordPress in 2007. At that time, he was still working as an editor for a larger German technology blog, but he gradually intensified his work with WordPress. At the beginning of 2016, he became aware of the WordPress community and has since been involved in the organisation of the Meetups Bonn, Dortmund and Koblenz as well as the WordCamps in Bern, Cologne, Soltau (Retreat) and Osnabrück.

    Benjamin discovered computer programming in 1986, started out in electronics in 1991, designed and developed the hard & soft of embedded audio / video oriented systems from 1994 to 2010, while being a system and web server administrator for a startup at the EPFL. In 1998, he set up a structure that became a registered business in 2009. He now runs a web and multimedia agency whose specialty is the digitisation of all types of audio / video / film / photos. He collaborates with universities, hospitals, city archives and museums, as well as with leaders in the field of documents digitasation.

    JB is a technical director at the Whodunit WordPress agency.

    He is involved in the community and is one of the two representatives of the WordPress Core Team. He belongs to the group of roughly 30 core committers of the project and several specialized teams, including the Accessibility, Performance, Documentation and Security teams.

    Over the past few years, JB has led about twenty minor and major WordPress releases.

    He is also one of the 4 people responsible for translating WP into French and the fr.wordpress.org website.
