Have you always dreamed of organising a WordCamp? Or perhaps you have already helped organise such an event and would now like to support a new team? Then do not hesitate to get in touch with us!
For WordCamp Switzerland, which will take place on 11 and 12 September 2026 at the Centre Loewenberg in Murten, we are looking for two additional organisers to assist us and help create a strong community event together.
The current organising team consists of six people (Patricia Brun Torre, Michelle Bulloch, Mark Howells-Mead, Claudius Krucker, Rico Lüthi, and Claudio Schwarz), who share responsibilities regarding speakers, sponsors, photography, the website, and design. However, we wish to welcome two further organisers to support us with the following tasks:
- Producing promotional videos and contributing to communication; this person should preferably be an Italian speaker (or comfortable working in Italian), as we aim to include Italian in our communication.
- Managing volunteers
Important point: You obviously do not need to be based locally; remote participation in the organisation is of course possible! Experience in event organisation is a plus, but not a requirement. What matters most is motivation, reliability, and enthusiasm for the community.
